Downtown Columbus family law attorney looking for part-time contract associate to assist with thriving practice. The associate will assist the attorney with drafting pleadings and agreements, reviewing and evaluating discovery responses and evidence, assisting with preparation for hearings and trials, drafting memoranda, legal research, working with clients and other aspects of representing clients. This position is well suited for a new, licensed attorney seeking experience in family law, or an attorney who is looking for an opportunity that is not full-time and that does not dictate specific hours, as long as the work is done by the deadline.
Ohio license required. Ideal candidate will have interest in practicing family law and at least one year of hands-on experience with family law cases, including drafting pleadings, agreements and briefs, working with clients, reviewing and organizing evidence, tracking deadliness and discovery. New attorneys with other levels of experience will be considered. Candidates must possess and demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated, organized, committed to meeting deadlines, and functioning well under pressure. This will be a remote work arrangement.
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: The rate will depend on the candidate's level of experience and amount of initial supervision and training required.
