This position ensures full legal support to Workers' Compensation team, including attorneys and paralegals.
Schedules calls, conferences, mediation, and other events.
Manages attorney calendars.
Assesses, uploads, and files documents within Industrial Commission Online Network (I.C.O.N.).
Downloads, saves, and prints documents and correspondence from BWC/IC websites.
Checks BWC website for related claims.
Scans and saves documents to document management system Time Matters.
Performs detailed and accurate data entry.
Organizes and assembles files for new matters.
Sends letters and medical packets to IME doctors.
Distributes IME reports to claim parties.
Sends invoices to appropriate parties to pay & creates check request if appropriate.
Prepares packet of materials that need to be submitted to the state claim file.
Prepares and files R-1 Authorization of Representation forms for new claims.
Creates new files.
Opens Case Notes.
Scans and saves incoming mail.
Manages attorney follow-up list.
Prepares settlement exhibits.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Adaptability, willingness to learn, and ability to work as a productive member of a team.
Entry-level legal experience is a plus.
